Boston Workers' Compensation and Personal Injury Attorneys

Carney, Rezendes & Crowley was formed in 2022 when two highly regarded injury law firms, Rezendes Law Group and Carney Law, strategically merged to enhance each firm’s service to its clients. Both firms and their attorneys have earned reputations both locally and nationally for its representation of clients in personal injury and workers’ compensation matters, including those arising out of construction site accidents and also professional athletics. Carney, Rezendes & Crowley represents injured and disabled people throughout Massachusetts, including the Boston, Lawrence, Lowell, Quincy, Brockton, Taunton, Worcester, Fall River, New Bedford and Cape Cod areas.

Personal and work-related injuries can take a physical, financial and emotional toll on injured workers and their families. Disability from work can cause extreme financial hardship, resulting in unpaid bills and strain on family relationships. To add insult to injury, insurance companies often look for any reason to deny your claim, regardless of how serious your injury may be.

A Reputation Earned From Obtaining Excellent Results

With offices in Boston and Braintree, our personal injury and workers' compensation lawyers at Carney, Rezendes & Crowley understand what injured workers and their families are going through during stressful times. Our reputation as one of Massachusetts’ and Boston’s most respected workers’ compensation and personal injury law firms has been earned by working tirelessly on behalf of our clients and their families to obtain maximum compensation for the harm caused by workplace and other types of personal injuries. The firm handles a wide variety of injury claims, such as construction site, premises liability, motor vehicle accident, nursing home abuse, consumer product injuries and other negligence-related accidents. Our attorneys pride themselves on the attention to each and every detail we pay to all of our client’s and their cases. Our attorneys are proud of and enjoy the close personal relationships that we are able to establish with our clients and their families in order to put their lives back on track.

While many other law firms get new clients through advertising, most of our clients come from referrals from former satisfied clients and their family members. We also receive many referrals from attorneys who practice in other areas of the law, are aware of our reputation and want to ensure that their clients receive the best possible outcomes and personalized attention that they deserve. We are proud of the reputation we have worked so hard to achieve, and recognize that our reputation is on the line with each and every client we represent.

In addition to the representation of injured workers, our firm has successfully represented those harmed by the negligence of third parties, including:

The Carney, Rezendes & Crowley Difference

Many Massachusetts and Boston workers’ compensation and personal injury law firms are what are referred to as “volume” law firms, operating like factories that churn out hundreds of clients and cases per year. These firms are not able to establish and maintain personal relationships with all of their clients. Clients of those types of law firms often complain that they do not know what is going on with their case and that their lawyer doesn’t return their calls.

Our Boston and Braintree personal injury and workers' compensation lawyers are committed to limiting the number of clients they represent in order to ensure that each and every one of our clients and their family members are able to maintain a close, personal relationship with lawyers and staff. Our low case volume strategy allows us to focus the deserving and necessary attention to each of our clients and their case, presenting each case in the most favorable way to insurance companies, judges and juries, and allowing our clients to receive maximum compensation for their injuries. Our commitment to our clients simply cannot be duplicated by other high-volume law firms. We pride ourselves on returning calls promptly and fully engaging our clients in the progress of their cases throughout the entire process.

Our commitment to and focus on each individual client has allowed the firm to achieve some of the highest settlements of Massachusetts’ workers’ compensation claims approved at the Department of Industrial Accidents in recent years, including two settlements for $1 million or more in 2018 alone. In 2016, Attorneys Patricia Rezendes and Cathryn Crowley obtained a judgment after jury verdict of $2,500,000.00 in a construction site negligence case. In 2019, Attorney Brendan Carney obtained a judgment after jury verdict in excess of $900,000.00. Our attorneys at Carney, Rezendes & Crowley are routinely entrusted by injured workers, their families and other referring attorneys with some of the most serious workplace injury and other personal injury claims in Massachusetts’.

Coordination of All Workplace Injury Claims

Because of our knowledge and expertise in all claims arising out of workplace injuries – workers’ compensation, third-party negligence, Accidental Disability Retirement (“ADR”), we are able to coordinate all claims in a way that allows every client to receive the maximum monetary recovery from their workplace injury. Our attorneys are able to coordinate multiple sources of benefits by making proper allocations that increase the overall monetary recovery for our clients. Other firms are not able to do this – they will refer out the workers’ compensation, third-party negligence, SSDI or ADR claims to other lawyer or law firms. This can cause a disconnect between those lawyers and those claims that prevents maximum monetary recovery. Massachusetts Lawyer’s Weekly recently reported on a claim handled by our firm where our client’s future medical treatment and vocational retraining were to be fully paid by the workers’ compensation insurer because of the way we allocated the settlement money from our client’s third-party negligence claim. Those benefits would have otherwise been not fully paid by the workers’ compensation insurer had our firm not made those allocations.

Free Consultations – No Attorney’s Fees Unless Successful

All of our initial client consultations are free of charge. We are easily accessible – available to meet you in person at our office, your home or via video conference. Our firm handles personal injury and workers’ compensation cases on a contingent fee basis, meaning you do not pay any attorney’s fees out of pocket unless and until your case is settled and you are paid. By handling cases on a contingent fee basis, this allows you to hire our attorneys who local professional athletes also turn to when they have suffered a work injury. We make a total commitment to fully investigating the facts of each potential client’s case to determine whether we can pursue the case on the injured workers’ behalf.

Brendan, I cannot adequately communicate how meaningful your role has been in this life-altering experience. I can say "Thank You!". I do it from the bottom of my heart, but I thought I would attempt to show you just a snippet of the impact you have had on m life, and, i can imagine, on the lives of others like me. Blessings! Brendan was great in my case. He was very professional and made sure I fully understood every step that was happening in my case. Every thing I signed he made sure I understood all the fine print and he explained it very well.He negotiated way more then what I thought I was going to receive. Brendan always stayed in constant contact with me and was very easy to get a hold of for any and every question I had about the process. Very thankful to have worked with him. Greg

"… I wanted to express my thanks and gratitude to you. You always said it was your job but it seems to me it is your calling. Anyone with enough hard work can be a lawyer or a nurse but not all can express empathy, compassion and infinite patience to guide others through a confusing and difficult journey …" Anonymus
